How Carrot works
The Carrot program covers fertility education and assessments, fertility preservation (egg, sperm, and embryo freezing), in-vitro fertilization (IVF), donor-assisted reproduction (including surrogacy), and adoption.
You and your spouse or domestic partner are eligible to participate in the program (provided you’re a full-time, benefits-eligible employee scheduled to work 30+ per week).

Using Carrot services
You can schedule a personal consultation with the Carrot care team – to learn more about your options and connect with a top provider in your area.
You have access to Carrot’s global provider directory – including 2,700 clinics and 1,250 attorneys and agencies in more than 42 countries. Carrot also gives you discounts and expedited appointments at top fertility clinics. Your care team can also answer medical, legal, benefits coverage, and regulatory questions.
Samsara-provided funds to support your needs
Samsara provides you with money for reimbursing your eligible expenses related to fertility treatment and adoption.
The company may reimburse you for 100% of your eligible expenses, up to $25,000 (or local currency equivalent) per lifetime. Expenses for you and/or your spouse or domestic partner are combined.
Eligible expenses include, but are not limited to:
Basic fertility check-ups
Egg, sperm, and embryo freezing and storage fees
Intrauterine insemination or in-vitro fertilization
Genetic testing of embryos
Vasectomy reversals
Gestational carrier-related expenses
Adoption-related fees
Please note that some items are considered taxable, so those reimbursements will be taxed and the taxation will be taken out of your paycheck. Please reach out to Carrot team about what items may be taxable.

Once expenses have been approved by Carrot, you will typically see the reimbursement (less any applicable taxes) in your paycheck at the end of month paycheck. Depending on timing of the approval, the reimbursements may be in the following month's paycheck.
